<h2>FAQ and Common Issues</h2>

<p>Here are some of the common questions and issues faced when using Privyr with WhatsApp and/or WhatsApp Business:</p>

<ul><li><strong>General</strong><ul><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-common-issues/#using-privyr-with-whatsapp-and-whatsapp-business">How do I use Privyr with WhatsApp Business?</a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-common-issues/#both-whatsapp-and-whatsapp-business-installed">I have both WhatsApp AND WhatsApp Business on my phone. <h2>Using Privyr with WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business</h2>

<p>Privyr works with both&nbsp;<strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.whatsapp.com/features/" target="_blank">WhatsApp</a></strong> and&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://faq.whatsapp.com/en/android/26000092/?category=5245246" target="_blank"><strong>WhatsApp Business</strong></a>, letting you send messages and auto-personalised&nbsp;<a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/quick-responses/"><strong>Quick Responses</strong></a>&nbsp;to your leads and clients within seconds, without having to manually start or find the chat in WhatsApp.</p>

<h2 id="either-whatsapp-or-whatsapp-business-installed">Either WhatsApp&nbsp;OR&nbsp;WhatsApp Business Installed</h2>

<p>When you have either WhatsApp&nbsp;<strong>or</strong>&nbsp;WhatsApp Business installed on your mobile device (but not both), you’ll be automatically redirected to that application whenever you click the WhatsApp icon from the&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/client-details/">client details</a></strong>&nbsp;screen or send a&nbsp;<a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/quick-responses/"><strong>Quick Response</strong></a>.</p>

<p>However, if you have both WhatsApp&nbsp;<strong>and</strong>&nbsp;WhatsApp Business installed, you’ll get more options on which app to use (see below for more details).</p>

<h2 id="both-whatsapp-and-whatsapp-business-installed">Both WhatsApp&nbsp;AND&nbsp;WhatsApp Business Installed</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Here’s how to use Privyr with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Biz when you have both installed! #salestips" width="643" height="362" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7GVqkV8JjnM?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div><figcaption>How to use Privyr with WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business</figcaption></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1312" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A.png 670w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A-300x272.png 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A-50x45.png 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A-60x54.png 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-iPhone-vs-Android-A-100x91.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 670px) 100vw, 670px" /></figure>

<p>If you have both WhatsApp&nbsp;<strong>and</strong>&nbsp;WhatsApp Business installed and logged in on your mobile device, you’ll have the option to choose which app to use when sending a message from Privyr:</p>

<ul><li>On&nbsp;<strong>iPhone</strong>, the system will always open WhatsApp first, with option to ‘<strong>Message</strong>‘ (in WhatsApp) or ‘<strong>Open in WhatsApp Business</strong>‘. However, you can change this behaviour and set which app opens <em>first</em> via the <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-common-issues/#iphone-setting-default-app-for-whatsapp"><strong>Privyr app’s Personalisation settings</strong></a>.</li><li>On&nbsp;<strong>Android</strong>, you’ll be prompted to open with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. You can then choose ‘<strong>Just</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Once</strong>‘ (so you get prompted to choose every time) or ‘<strong>Always</strong>‘ (which will set the choice as the default going forward, skipping the prompt in the future). You can change this behaviour via the Android&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-business/#android-setting-default-app-for-whatsapp">default app settings</a></strong>.</li></ul>

<p><strong><em>Troubleshooting:</em></strong><em>&nbsp;<strong>Prompt to log</strong></em><strong><em>&nbsp;into WhatsApp</em></strong>&nbsp;<em><strong>or WhatsApp Business</strong></em></p>

<p><em>If you have both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business installed but are only logged into one of them, then the version of WhatsApp that is not logged in will always be opened, followed by a prompt to log in or a screen stuck at ‘searching’.</em></p>

<p><em>This is WhatsApp’s way of letting you know that you’ve installed but are not logged into one of the apps. If this happens, simply&nbsp;<strong>uninstall the version of WhatsApp that you are not using</strong>.</em>&nbsp;<em>Alternately, Android users can change their&nbsp;<a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-business/#android-setting-default-app-for-whatsapp"><strong>default app settings</strong></a>&nbsp;to always open the correct WhatsApp version.</em></p>

<h2 id="iphone-setting-default-app-for-whatsapp">iPhone Setting: Default App for WhatsApp</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios.png" alt="" class="wp-image-5917" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios.png 634w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios-228x300.png 228w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios-38x50.png 38w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios-46x60.png 46w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/whatsapp-vs-whatsapp-default-setting-ios-76x100.png 76w" sizes="(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px" /></figure>

<p>On iPhone, if both WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business are installed, it will <em>always </em>prompt you to select which version of WhatsApp to open (with the option to ‘<strong>Message</strong>‘ (<strong>in WhatsApp</strong>) or ‘<strong>Open in WhatsApp Business</strong>‘). However, you can select which app to open first via the following steps on the Privyr mobile app:</p>

<ol><li>Go to the <strong>Account </strong>tab</li><li>Tap on <strong>Settings</strong></li><li>Tap on <strong>Personalisation</strong></li><li>Tap and hold <strong>WhatsApp </strong>under <strong>Default Sending Channel</strong></li><li>Under <strong>Select WhatsApp link scheme</strong>, choose your preferred setting:<ul><li><strong>Universal Link (https://api.whatsapp.com): </strong>this will open <strong>WhatsApp </strong>by default (then prompt to either <strong>Message </strong>or ‘<strong>Open in WhatsApp Business</strong>’)</li><li><strong>Custom Deeplink Scheme (whatsapp://): </strong>this will open<strong> WhatsApp Business</strong> by default (then prompt to either <strong>Message </strong>or ‘<strong>Open in WhatsApp</strong>’)</li></ul></li><li>Tap on <strong>SAVE</strong></li></ol>

<p>That’s it! Every time you want to message your client via WhatsApp from Privyr, it will now allow you to open the preferred version of WhatsApp first, based on the settings applied.</p>

<h2 id="android-setting-default-app-for-whatsapp">Android Setting: Default App for WhatsApp</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1306" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows.png 782w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows-257x300.png 257w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows-768x898.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows-43x50.png 43w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows-51x60.png 51w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/WA-WA-Business-2-rows-86x100.png 86w" sizes="(max-width: 782px) 100vw, 782px" /></figure>

<p>On Android, you can set or change the version of WhatsApp that opens by default, via the following steps:</p>

<ol><li>Tap on the&nbsp;<strong>Settings&nbsp;</strong>icon on the toolbar that appears when you swipe down from the top of the screen</li><li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>Apps</strong></li><li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>Apps</strong>&nbsp;again</li><li>Search for and select&nbsp;<strong>WhatsApp</strong>&nbsp;(or&nbsp;<strong>WhatsApp Business)</strong></li><li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>Open by default</strong></li><li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>Open supported links in this app</strong></li><li>Select between the following options:<ul><li><strong>Always allow</strong>&nbsp;if you want this version of WhatsApp to open every time</li><li><strong>Ask every time&nbsp;</strong>if you want to choose which version of WhatsApp to open each time</li><li><strong>Don’t allow</strong>&nbsp;if you never want this version of WhatsApp to open, and don’t want to have the choice to open it</li></ul></li></ol>

<p><em>Once you’ve set the default for one version of WhatsApp, you should also update the other version of WhatsApp to ensure the expected behaviour. For example:</em></p>

<ul><li><em>If you selected ‘</em><strong><em>Ask every time</em></strong><em>‘ for WhatsApp, also select ‘</em><strong><em>Ask every time</em></strong><em>‘ for WhatsApp Business</em></li><li><em>If you selected ‘<strong>Always allow’</strong>&nbsp;for WhatsApp, select ‘<strong>Don’t allow</strong>‘ for WhatsApp Business</em></li><li><em>If you selected ‘<strong>Don’t allow</strong>‘ for WhatsApp, select ‘<strong>Always allow</strong>‘ for WhatsApp Business</em></li></ul>

<h2>Links Aren&#8217;t Clickable for Recipients</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2613" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated.jpg 1003w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated-300x261.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated-768x668.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated-50x44.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated-60x52.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Not-Clickable-Annotated-100x87.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 1003px) 100vw, 1003px" /></figure>

<p>WhatsApp and iMessage have security features that <strong>prevent recipients from clicking on any links that you send them, until they either reply to the chat or save your number to their phonebook</strong>. During this time, any and all links will appear as plain text and will not be clickable, as in the screenshot above.</p>

<p>This isn’t related to Privyr, but is rather a security measure by WhatsApp and iMessage to prevent unsuspecting recipients from clicking on a virus or obscene materials sent by an unknown contact. This affects all types of links and will happen even if you manually typed and sent the message.</p>

<p>To avoid this issue,<strong> links and attachments should only be sent after a recipient has replied to your message(s)</strong>, which will unlock the chat.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2614" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated.jpg 1000w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated-300x264.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated-768x677.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated-50x44.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated-60x53.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/WhatsApp-Link-Now-Clickable-Annotated-100x88.jpg 100w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Once a recipient has replied to your message(s), the chat will be unlocked and all future links will be displayed properly and clickable by both parties.</p>

<p>When contacting a new lead, the best practice is to send a short, text-only introduction message with a simple yes/no question for the lead to reply to. Once the lead replies, you can continue the conversation and send any links or attachments without any restrictions or issues.</p>

<p><em>Note that on some devices, if you sent one or more messages with links <strong>before</strong> the recipient replies (or adds you to their phonebook), the links may still be unclickable even after the recipient replies to your chat. If this happens, they will need to close your chat and reopen it to unlock the links. To prevent this from happening, always wait for the recipient to reply before sending any links or attachments.</em></p>

<h2><strong>WhatsApp Button Opens Safari on iPhone</strong></h2>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Some users find that clicking the WhatsApp button in Privyr opens Safari. Here’s a quick fix!#sales" width="643" height="362" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kaaZUbGvEy4?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<p>If your phone automatically opens the Safari browser whenever you click the WhatsApp button in Privyr, you can change the settings in Privyr to ensure that it opens directly in WhatsApp every time.</p>

<p>Here are the steps on the Privyr mobile app:</p>

<ol><li>Go to your <strong>Account </strong>tab</li><li>Tap on <strong>Settings</strong></li><li>Tap on <strong>Personalisation</strong></li><li>Under the <strong>Default Sending Channel</strong>, tap and hold <strong>WhatsApp</strong></li><li>Select ‘<strong>Custom Deeplink Scheme</strong>’&nbsp;</li><li>Tap on <strong>Save</strong></li></ol>

<p>That’s it! Every time you want to message your client via WhatsApp from Privyr, it will now open directly in WhatsApp instead of the Safari browser.</p>

<p></p>

<h2><strong>WhatsApp Auto-Responder</strong></h2>

<p>You can set up&nbsp;a<strong> <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-auto-responder/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="WhatsApp Auto-Responder (opens in a new tab)">WhatsApp Auto-Responder</a>&nbsp;</strong>to instantly message new leads on WhatsApp. Any new lead you receive via your&nbsp;<strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/integrations/" target="_blank">integrations</a></strong>&nbsp;will be immediately and automatically messaged from your own WhatsApp number, even when you’re busy or offline.</p>

<p>All messages are sent from your existing WhatsApp Business number, so you can view and continue all conversations directly in the&nbsp;<strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://business.whatsapp.com/products/business-app" target="_blank">WhatsApp Business app</a></strong>&nbsp;on your phone or laptop.</p>

<p>Privyr’s Auto-Responder works through WhatsApp’s official APIs (Privyr is a verified Meta Business Partner), keeping your WhatsApp account and data safe while complying with WhatsApp’s Terms and Conditions.</p>

<p>For more information on setting this up, view our full guide on <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="WhatsApp Auto-Responder (opens in a new tab)" href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-auto-responder/" target="_blank">WhatsApp Auto-Responder</a></strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<iframe title="Automatically WhatsApp new leads with Privyr | Privyr Tutorial | WhatsApp Auto-Responder" width="643" height="362" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xyKALeCtP7s?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div></figure>

<h2>Limitations After Enabling Automations For WhatsApp Business</h2>

<p>Once your account is connected for automations through WhatsApp Coexistence, certain features in your WhatsApp Business app will be disabled. These changes are part of <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="WhatsApp's built-in safeguards (opens in a new tab)" href="https://faq.whatsapp.com/1655751878365653/?helpref=uf_share" target="_blank">WhatsApp&#8217;s built-in safeguards</a> to protect your account, while ensuring automated sending works reliably.</p>

<p>You will gain access to WhatsApp-approved automated sending tools, such as <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/whatsapp-campaigns/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)">WhatsApp Campaigns</a>. However, some features will no longer be available, including sending WhatsApp Broadcast Lists and editing previously sent messages.</p>

<p>These limitations are imposed by WhatsApp and are expected when an account enables automations.</p>

<p>If you disconnect your number from WhatsApp Automations, these functionalities will be re-enabled.</p>

<h2>Setting WhatsApp as Your Default Calling App on iPhone</h2>

<p>You can now update your iPhone&#8217;s default settings so that tapping the <strong>CALL</strong> button in Privyr automatically initiates WhatsApp calls to your client, instead of using your SIM line.</p>

<p>Here are the steps to set either your personal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business as your default calling app.</p>

<ol><li>Go to your <strong>Phone Settings</strong> </li><li>Go to <strong>Apps</strong></li><li>Go to <strong>Default Apps</strong></li><li>Tap on <strong>Calling</strong></li><li>Choose <strong>WhatsApp</strong> or <strong>WhatsApp Business </strong>as your default calling app</li></ol>

<p>Once set, Privyr will automatically open your preferred WhatsApp app whenever you call a client from the app.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a quick video tutorial on how to set WhatsApp as your default dialer app on iPhone:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<a name="can-i-bulk-call-via-whatsapp"></a>

<h2>Default Settings Work for Bulk Actions Too</h2>

<p>Your updated default settings will also work with bulk actions in Privyr, allowing you to <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/bulk-sending/">bulk message</a> or <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/bulk-phone-calling/">bulk call your leads</a> via WhatsApp</p>

<h2>FAQ and Common Issues</h2>

<p>Here are some of the common questions and issues faced when using the Facebook integration with Privyr. Most can be solved by ensuring you have <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin">admin permissions</a> </strong>to the connected Facebook Page(s).</p>

<p><strong>Connecting Facebook to Privyr</strong></p>

<ul><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#multiple-facebook-accounts">I have multiple Facebook accounts. How do I select or change the account to use with Privyr?</a> </li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#cant-connect-facebook-page">I can&#8217;t see or select the Facebook Page(s) I want to connect to Privyr</a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#updating-connected-facebook-pages">How do I connect more Facebook Pages to Privyr? </a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#connect-new-facebook-lead-forms">I created a new Facebook Lead Form. How do I connect it to Privyr? </a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#cant-connect-facebook-page">Error: &#8216;Insufficient Permissions&#8217; when connecting Facebook Pages</a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#cant-connect-facebook-page">Error: &#8216;Failed to Connect&#8217; when connecting Facebook Pages</a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#renew-facebook-permissions">Error: &#8216;Permissions Expired&#8217; on Facebook Pages</a></li></ul>

<p><strong>Receiving and Viewing Facebook Leads in Privyr</strong></p>

<h2>Multiple Facebook Accounts</h2>

<p>Each Privyr account can connect to a single Facebook account and unlimited Facebook Pages. If you have multiple Facebook accounts, simply grant one of your Facebook accounts admin permissions to all the Facebook Page(s) you wish to connect to Privyr.</p>

<p>When <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-integrations/#connecting-to-your-facebook-account">connecting your Facebook account to Privyr</a></strong>, it will use the Facebook profile logged into on your Facebook mobile app and/or mobile web browser. Follow the steps below to change the Facebook account you use with Privyr:</p>

<ol><li>Open the <strong>Facebook</strong> app on your phone and make sure you&#8217;re logged into the correct Facebook account</li><li>Open the <strong>Facebook website</strong> (www.facebook.com) on your mobile browser, and make sure you&#8217;re logged into the correct Facebook account<ul><li><strong>iPhone</strong>: Check on your <strong>Safari</strong> browser</li><li><strong>Android</strong>: Check on your <strong>Google Chrome</strong> browser</li></ul></li><li>Open the <strong>Privyr</strong> app and connect to the new Facebook profile<ul><li>Go to your <strong>Account</strong> tab and tap on <strong>Integrations</strong></li><li>Tap on <strong>Facebook</strong> &gt; <strong>Options</strong> &gt; <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-integrations/#disconnecting-from-facebook">Disconnect Facebook Account</a></strong> (if you&#8217;ve already connected)</li><li>Tap on <strong>Facebook</strong> and <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-integrations/#connecting-to-your-facebook-account">connect to Privyr</a></strong>. Make sure that the Facebook account shown is the one you want to connect (if not, repeat steps 1 &amp; 2)</li></ul></li></ol>

<p>Once you&#8217;ve connected the correct Facebook account to Privyr, you can change the Facebook account logged into your Facebook app and mobile browser without affecting your Privyr settings.</p>

<h2>Can&#8217;t Connect Facebook Page</h2>

<p><strong>UNABLE TO SEE OR SELECT FACEBOOK PAGE(S) or ERROR: INSUFFICIENT PERMISSIONS</strong></p>

<p>If you can&#8217;t see the Facebook Page(s) you wish to connect to, or get an <em>&#8216;Insufficient Permissions&#8217;</em> error while connecting to Facebook, it is likely that your Facebook account does not have sufficient permissions to access leads from those Facebook Page(s).</p>

<p>To fix this, please ensure that your Facebook account has the following permissions for each of the Facebook Page(s):</p>

<ul><li><strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin">Permissions: Facebook Page Admin</a> </strong></li><li><strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-business-manager-leads-access">Permissions: Facebook Business Manager Leads Access</a></strong> (if applicable) </li></ul>

<p><strong>ERROR: FAILED TO CONNECT</strong></p>

<p>If you&#8217;re receiving a <em>&#8216;Failed to Connect&#8217; </em>error when connecting to Facebook, it is likely that the Facebook account that you&#8217;re trying to connect to Privyr doesn&#8217;t have the necessary permissions to the Facebook page(s).</p>

<p>To fix this issue, please make sure that the correct Facebook account is logged in on your Facebook mobile app and/or web browser when accessing&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="http://www.facebook.com/">www.facebook.com</a>.</p>

<p>Additionally, please ensure that your Facebook account has the following permissions for each of the Facebook Page(s):</p>

<ul><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin"><strong>Permissions: Facebook Page Admin</strong></a></li><li><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-business-manager-leads-access"><strong>Permissions: Facebook Business Manager Leads Access</strong></a> (if applicable)</li></ul>

<h2>Updating your Connected Facebook Pages</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-792x1024.png" alt="" class="wp-image-4956" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-792x1024.png 792w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-232x300.png 232w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-768x993.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-39x50.png 39w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-46x60.png 46w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Update-Connected-Facebook-Pages-77x100.png 77w" sizes="(max-width: 792px) 100vw, 792px" /></figure>

<p> If you want to add or remove Facebook Pages linked to your Privyr account, you may do so by Managing your Facebook Pages through your <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/account-settings/"><strong>Account</strong> tab</a> &gt; <strong>Integrations </strong>&gt;<strong> Facebook </strong>page and complete the following steps </p>

<ol><li>In the Facebook integration screen, click on <strong>Options</strong></li><li>Select <strong>Manage Facebook Pages</strong></li><li>Click on <strong>OK</strong></li><li>When setting up your Facebook connection, select<strong> Edit Previous Settings</strong></li><li>Toggle the pages to add or remove them from Privyr</li><li>Finally, select the Facebook Business Accounts managing the Facebook pages, then continue with your Facebook setup</li></ol>

<h2>Connect New Facebook Lead Forms</h2>

<p>When you connect your Facebook Page(s) to Privyr, it connects to all existing Lead Forms on those Pages to receive new leads. The connected lead forms are refreshed once every 24 hours to detect and link recently created forms.</p>

<p>If you created a new lead form and wish to immediately connect it to Privyr to start receiving leads, you can manually refresh the linked Facebook Pages and Lead Forms by <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#renew-facebook-permissions"><strong>renewing your Facebook Permissions</strong></a>.</p>

<h2>Renew Facebook Permissions</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-1024x596.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-1054" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-1024x596.jpg 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-300x175.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-768x447.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-50x29.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-60x35.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated-100x58.jpg 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Facebook-Integration-Renew-Permissions-Annotated.jpg 1527w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Facebook permissions to access leads will automatically expire a few weeks to months after connecting to Facebook (or sooner in some cases). This is normal and is part of Facebook’s process to ensure permissions are always opt-in and under your control.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When this happens, you will receive warnings via the Privyr app and email that your Facebook permissions are expiring or have expired. </p>

<p>To fix this issue and refresh your Facebook permissions, go to your&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/account-settings/">Account tab</a> &gt; Integrations &gt; Facebook</strong>&nbsp;page and tap on&nbsp;<strong>Options</strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Renew Facebook Permissions</strong>. Simply follow the instructions to&nbsp;<strong>Continue</strong>&nbsp;and renew access.</p>

<p><em>Note that permissions will also expire if you change your Facebook account password or edit access to your Facebook Pages. In either case, just reconnect to Facebook from the Privyr app to update the permissions and ensure you don’t miss out on any leads.</em></p>

<h2>Not Receiving or Missing Facebook Leads</h2>

<p>If you&#8217;ve connected your Facebook account to Privyr but aren&#8217;t receiving new leads into your Privyr account, please check the following items:</p>

<ol><li><strong>Ensure you&#8217;ve connected the right Facebook Account and Page(s)</strong><ul><li>In the Privyr app, go to your Account tab > Integrations > Facebook to view the connected Facebook Account and Page(s). You can <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#multiple-facebook-accounts">change your connected Facebook Account</a> </strong>or <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#updating-connected-facebook-pages">update the connected Facebook Pages</a></strong>.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Ensure that your Facebook Lead Ads are running and generating new leads</strong><ul><li>Privyr connects to Facebook Lead Ads and will give instant alerts for new leads. You can confirm that you&#8217;re running Facebook Lead Ads and generating new leads by <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/977482022303376?id=735435806665862" target="_blank">downloading leads from your Facebook Forms Library</a></strong>. If there are no new leads on Facebook since you connected to Privyr, there won&#8217;t be any leads added to your Privyr account.</li><li><em>Note that you can also</em><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-integrations/#importing-past-leads"> <strong><em>import your past leads to Privyr</em></strong></a><em>.</em></li></ul></li><li><strong>Ensure that your Facebook Account has sufficient permissions to access leads</strong><ul><li>Please check your Facebook account permission to ensure it has <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin">Facebook Page Admin Permissions</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-business-manager-leads-access">Facebook Business Manager Leads Access</a></strong> (if applicable) for each Facebook Page. These permissions are required by Facebook to be able to access the leads of a Facebook Page.</li><li><em>You can also quickly check your permissions by trying to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="downloading the leads directly from your Facebook Page (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/977482022303376?id=735435806665862" target="_blank"><strong>download the leads directly from your Facebook Page</strong></a>. If you aren&#8217;t able to view or access the leads from Facebook, it means your Facebook account has insufficient permissions.</em></li></ul></li><li><strong>Ensure that recently created Lead Forms are linked to Privyr</strong><ul><li>If you created a new Lead Form on Facebook within the last 24 hours, it may not be connected to your Privyr account yet. You can manually refresh the Lead Forms linked to your connected Facebook Pages by <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#renew-facebook-permissions">renewing your Facebook permissions</a></strong>, to ensure all lead forms are linked to Privyr. You can then <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-integrations/#importing-past-leads">import leads from the past 24 hours</a></strong> to fetch any new leads that you may have received during this short time window. </li><li><em>Note that <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#connect-new-facebook-lead-forms">lead forms are automatically refreshed once every 24 hours</a> to detect and link recently created forms on connected Facebook Pages, so the steps above are only needed if you created a new form and immediately start running ads on it.</em></li></ul></li></ol>

<p>We also have a comprehensive guide on the <a href="https://www.privyr.com/blog/howto-download-leads-from-facebook/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="best ways to download and view leads from your Facebook Ads manager (opens in a new tab)">best ways to download and view leads from your Facebook Ads manager</a>.</p>

<h2>Delayed Facebook Leads</h2>

<p>Privyr gives instant alerts for new leads generated via Facebook Lead Ads, so you can immediately get in touch with your leads.</p>

<p>However, there are cases where new lead alerts are delayed due to your Facebook settings. This issue may occur if you previously connected certain systems such as Hubspot to receive your Facebook Leads and/or changed your Facebook Business Manager settings, which can impact whether Facebook allows lead alerts to other systems.</p>

<p>If we detect delayed alerts for your account, we’ll give you warnings in the new lead alert emails that your leads may be delayed. Follow the steps below to ensure that real-time lead notifications are enabled for Privyr and all other connected systems:</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image border-grey"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-1024x542.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-690" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-1024x542.jpg 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-300x159.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-768x407.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-50x26.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-60x32.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads-100x53.jpg 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Facebook-Business-Manager-Fix-Delayed-Leads.jpg 1109w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<h2>Viewing the Campaign, Adset, and Ad Details of your Leads</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1758" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details.png 943w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details-300x239.png 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details-768x611.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details-50x40.png 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details-60x48.png 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Campaign-Details-100x80.png 100w" sizes="(max-width: 943px) 100vw, 943px" /></figure>

<p>The Facebook<strong> Campaign</strong>, <strong>Adset</strong> and <strong>Ad</strong> details of your leads will be displayed in the <strong>NOTES</strong> section of your <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/client-details/"><strong>Client Details</strong></a> screen. </p>

<p>You can also choose to display the Facebook Campaign name on the preview of a lead on your <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/client-list/">client lists</a></strong>, by adjusting the setting under your <strong>Account</strong> tab &gt; <strong>Settings</strong> &gt; <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/account-preferences/#new-lead-settings">New Lead Settings</a></strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-1024x638.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2998" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-1024x638.jpg 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-300x187.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-768x479.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-50x31.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-60x37.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings-100x62.jpg 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/lead-source-settings.jpg 1375w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>If your Facebook Campaign, Adset, or Ad details are missing, this could be due to one of two reasons: </p>

<ol><li><strong>Your Lead Ad(s) may not be set up with an Ad Structure</strong><ul><li>If you created the Lead Form directly from your Facebook Page(s) and boost it without going through Facebook Ads Manager to set up and label the Campaign, Adset, and Ad details, then there won&#8217;t be any ad structure on your leads.</li><li><em>You can check this by </em><strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/977482022303376?id=735435806665862" target="_blank"><em>downloading the leads directly from your Facebook Forms Library</em></a></strong><em> to see if they contain the Campaign, Adset, and Ad details.</em></li></ul></li><li><strong>Your Facebook account may not have permissions to view Ad Structure details from the Facebook Page(s)</strong><ul><li>Please ensure that your Facebook account has <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-ads-manager">Facebook Ads Manager Admin or Advertiser Permissions</a></strong> for the Facebook Page.</li><li><em>You can check this by </em><strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/977482022303376?id=735435806665862" target="_blank"><em>downloading the leads directly from your Facebook Forms Library</em></a></strong><em> to see if the Campaign, Adset, and Ad details are accessible.</em></li></ul></li></ol>

<h2>Permissions: Facebook Page Admin</h2>

<p>Your Facebook account will typically need <strong>Admin permissions</strong> to a Facebook Page to be able to access leads from it. You can check whether or not you have Admin Permissions to a Facebook Page through the Facebook mobile app or desktop site, via the steps below.</p>

<p>If you don&#8217;t have Admin permissions to a Facebook Page, please contact the owner of the Facebook Page to grant you Admin permissions so you can access the leads.</p>

<p><em>Note that if the Facebook Page is being managed by Facebook Business Manager with custom access settings, it is possible to use the &#8216;<strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-business-manager-leads-access">Leads Access</a></strong>&#8216; permissions to allow viewing leads without having admin</em> <em>rights to the Facebook Page , or prevent Page admins from being able to view leads.</em></p>

<h2><strong>Permissions: Facebook Business Manager Leads Access</strong></h2>

<p>The <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1440176552713521?id=735435806665862" target="_blank">Leads Access</a></strong> setting in <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/help/113163272211510?id=180505742745347" target="_blank">Facebook Business Manager</a></strong> gives Business Manager admins the ability to customise who is able to access leads from the managed Facebook Page(s). By default, all Facebook Page Admins are able to access leads from a Page, unless the Leads Access settings are changed. </p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin">confirmed that you are a Facebook Page Admin</a></strong> but are still unable to access leads from the Page, it is likely that the Leads Access setting has been customised and that your account does not have those permissions. In this case, please contact the Facebook Page&#8217;s Business Manager Owner/Admin and request <strong>Leads Access</strong> permissions, via the steps below: </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image border-grey"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-1024x503.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1366" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-1024x503.png 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-300x147.png 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-768x377.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-50x25.png 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-60x29.png 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings-100x49.png 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Leads-Access-Settings.png 1293w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<ol><li>Go to your <strong>Facebook Business Manager Lead Access Settings</strong> at <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://business.facebook.com/settings/leads-accesses/" target="_blank">https://business.facebook.com/settings/leads-accesses/</a></li><li>Click on <strong>Integrations &gt; Leads Access</strong> in the left column</li><li>Select the <strong>Business / Page </strong>that you&#8217;re receiving leads from </li><li>Click on the <strong>People </strong>tab to see who can access leads for the Page<ul><li><em>Note that if your Business Manager admin has <span style="text-decoration: underline;">not</span> enabled Leads Access manager, this screen will be greyed out and disabled, and all Facebook Page admins will be able to access leads (default setting). If Leads Access is enabled, can also revert to the default settings by clicking on &#8216;Restore Default Access&#8217; in the upper right of the screen.</em></li></ul></li><li>Confirm that your <strong>Facebook Account </strong>is listed here (you can add it if needed)</li></ol>

<p>Note that if you customised your Leads Access on Business Manager settings, new Page admins and CRMs <strong>won&#8217;t have access</strong> <strong>by default</strong>. You&#8217;ll need to assign access manually for each new user or CRM.</p>

<h2>Permissions: Facebook Ads Manager</h2>

<p>The <strong><a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/business/tools/ads-manager" target="_blank">Facebook Ads Manager</a></strong> is a place to manage your ads and configure who can access your ads and ad structure. By default, users with admin access to a Facebook Page will be able to view the Ad Structure (e.g. the Campaign, Adset, and Ad details) on their Facebook Leads.</p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#permissions-facebook-page-admin">confirmed that you are a Facebook Page Admin</a></strong> and that your <a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#viewing-the-campaign-adset-and-ad-details-of-your-leads"><strong>Facebook Lead Ads are set up with an Ad Structure</strong></a>, but you still can&#8217;t see the Campaign, Adset, or Ad details of your leads, then it is likely that the Ads Manager permissions are preventing you from accessing that information.</p>

<p>In this case, please contact the Facebook Page&#8217;s Ads Manager Owner/Admin and request either <strong>Admin</strong> or <strong>Advertiser</strong> permissions to the Ad Account, via the steps below: </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-1024x575.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1395" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-1024x575.png 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-300x168.png 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-768x431.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-50x28.png 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-60x34.png 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2-100x56.png 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/FB-Ads-Manager-2.png 1188w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<ol><li>Go to your <strong>Ads Manager Settings</strong> at <a rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label=" (opens in a new tab)" href="https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager/account_settings" target="_blank">https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager/account_settings</a><ul><li><em>If you have multiple Ad Accounts or Businesses, make sure the correct one is selected</em></li></ul></li><li>Under <strong>Ad Account Roles</strong>, click on <strong>Add People</strong></li><li>Search for the <strong>Facebook</strong> <strong>User</strong> to grant access to</li><li>Use the dropdown menu to select either <strong>Admin</strong> or <strong>Advertiser </strong>access to view ad structure details </li><li>Click <strong>Confirm</strong></li></ol>

<h2>Downloading Leads Directly From Facebook </h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-1024x588.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-2058" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-1024x588.jpg 1024w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-300x172.jpg 300w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-768x441.jpg 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-50x29.jpg 50w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-60x34.jpg 60w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly-100x57.jpg 100w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Download-Leads-from-FB-Directly.jpg 1340w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The leads data that is submitted through your Facebook Lead Form can be downloaded via a CSV or Excel export from your Facebook Page via the steps below:&nbsp;</p>

<ol><li>Log in at&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="http://www.facebook.com/" target="_blank">www.facebook.com</a>&nbsp;and go to your <strong>Facebook Page</strong></li><li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Publishing Tools</strong></li><li>Click <strong>Forms Library</strong></li><li>Choose the form for which you want to download leads, and click&nbsp;<strong>Download</strong>&nbsp;<ul><li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Download New Leads</strong>&nbsp;if you only want to download the leads you&#8217;ve received since the last time you downloaded the leads.</li><li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Download by Date Range</strong>&nbsp;if you want to download all leads you received during a certain time period. After choosing this option, select the preferred date range and click&nbsp;<strong>Download.&nbsp;</strong></li></ul></li><li>A screen will appear with the form name and a total leads count. Select&nbsp;<strong>CSV&nbsp;</strong>or&nbsp;<strong>Excel&nbsp;</strong>to download the file in your preferred file type.&nbsp;</li></ol>

<p>Downloading leads directly from Facebook can help to confirm if your Facebook account has sufficient permissions to <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#not-receiving-or-missing-facebook-leads">access leads</a></strong> or <strong><a href="https://help.privyr.com/knowledge-base/facebook-common-issues/#viewing-the-campaign-adset-and-ad-details-of-your-leads">view lead Campaign, Adset and Ad details</a></strong> on Privyr. </p>

<p><em>Note that lead information is only&nbsp;available on Facebook for 90 days&nbsp;and older leads cannot be downloaded, but once you&#8217;ve connected your Facebook account to Privyr, all leads will be kept in your Privyr account for as long as you like. </em></p>

<h2><strong>Android Settings: Background Data</strong> </h2>

<p>Some Android devices may suggest or automatically disable app notifications if you&#8217;re receiving many alerts or haven&#8217;t been opening them, to decrease cellular data usage.</p>

<p>You can check these settings via the steps below to ensure Privyr alerts are not being automatically disabled.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1294" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1.png 784w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1-257x300.png 257w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1-768x897.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1-43x50.png 43w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1-51x60.png 51w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Background-Data-Setting-2-rows-1-86x100.png 86w" sizes="(max-width: 784px) 100vw, 784px" /></figure>

<h2>Android Settings: Smart Data Saver</h2>

<p>The Smart Data Saver mode allows users to restrict cellular data usage across all apps. You can choose to exempt Privyr from being affected should you choose switch this mode on. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1295" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows.png 782w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows-257x300.png 257w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows-768x897.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows-43x50.png 43w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows-51x60.png 51w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Android-Smart-Data-Saver-2-rows-86x100.png 86w" sizes="(max-width: 782px) 100vw, 782px" /></figure>

<p><em>Note: These steps may vary slightly depending on phone model and operating system. Also, If you are using dual SIM, you may wish to repeat Steps 4 and 5 to apply to both SIM cards.</em></p>

<h2><strong>Android Settings: Battery &amp; Run in Background</strong></h2>

<p>Some devices have aggressive battery saving policies that may automatically close apps and prevent them from running in the background to conserve power. You can manage this setting for your Privyr app so that your new lead alerts won&#8217;t be affected. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img src="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows.png" alt="" class="wp-image-1296" srcset="https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows.png 782w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows-257x300.png 257w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows-768x898.png 768w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows-43x50.png 43w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows-51x60.png 51w, https://help.privyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Battery-2-rows-86x100.png 86w" sizes="(max-width: 782px) 100vw, 782px" /></figure>
