Privyr offers a wide range of automations to help you manage leads and follow-ups more efficiently. Some automations are completely free, while others require prepaid automation credits to use.
Free automations cover internal actions within the app and incoming leads from your integrations. These are core to your experience and included at no extra cost.
Paid automations that involve external platforms, like WhatsApp or email, require additional costs because they rely on third-party services. These outgoing actions consume automation credits.
Paid vs. Free Automations
Paid: Outgoing Automations to External Integrations
Automations that involve sending data or messages out of Privyr to third-party platforms, such as WhatsApp or email, require automation credits. This includes the following automations, which you can read more about in the Paid Automations section below.
Free: Incoming Automations from Integrations
Privyr integrations that bring leads into your account and notify you are completely free. This includes Lead Source Integrations and Lead Alerts.
Free: Internal Automations
Automations that happen entirely within Privyr and do not use any third-party platforms are free. This includes Lead Assignment and Lead Distribution via Privyr App.

Automation Credits
Automation credits are used to power paid automations in Privyr, such as sending messages via WhatsApp or email. These credits are prepaid and only consumed when an automation is successfully triggered.
What are Automation Credits?
- Used for paid automations that send data or messages to external platforms like WhatsApp or email.
- 1 credit = 1 successful outgoing action (e.g. one WhatsApp or email message sent).
- Credits are only consumed when the automation is successful. No credit is used for failed actions.
How Do Automation Credits Work?
- Your automations will run as long as you have credits
- If your credit balance reaches zero, paid automations will be paused, and you’ll see a warning prompting you to purchase more.

How to Purchase Automation Credits
- You must have an active Privyr subscription to buy automation credits.
- Credits are prepaid, and available for use immediately after purchase.
- Credits are sold in bundles of 200 at a time. The cost of automation credits depends on your subscription plan.
- To ensure that your automations run smoothly without being interrupted, your credits will automatically top up by 200 whenever your balance drops to 50 credits.
Paid Automations
Paid automations in Privyr involve actions that send data or messages to external platforms like WhatsApp and email. These automations use Automation Credits on a per-action basis, and credits are only consumed when an automation is successfully triggered.
Lead Distribution via WhatsApp or Email
Lead Distribution automatically share leads with other recipients the moment a lead comes in. There are 3 ways to distribute leads:
- Via the Privyr app (Free): Leads will be added directly to the recipient’s Privyr account, and they will receive an in-app alert. This automation is free.
- Via email (Paid): Send an email to the recipient with the lead’s information. Each email sent will use 1 automation credit.
- Via WhatsApp (Paid): Send a WhatsApp message to the recipient with the lead’s information. Each WhatsApp message sent will use 1 automation credit.
Leads are chargeable per alert sent via an external platform.
- Example 1: One recipient, multiple platforms
If you distribute a lead to one recipient via email and WhatsApp in addition to the Privyr app, it will use 2 automation credits. - Example 2: Multiple recipients, one platform
If you distribute one lead to 10 different recipients via WhatsApp, it will use 10 automation credits.
WhatsApp Auto-Responder
Privyr’s WhatsApp Auto-Responder automatically messages new leads via WhatsApp Business app. Each successful message sent costs 1 automation credit.
You will only be charged for messages that are successfully sent.
- Successful message → 1 credit used
You’ll be charged 1 credit for each new lead who is successfully sent a WhatsApp message. If a message is successfully sent, you will see it in your lead’s chat history in your WhatsApp Business App. - Unsuccessful message → No credits used
A message is considered unsuccessful if it is not sent to the lead. This might be due to a number of reasons, including if the lead has no phone number, has an invalid number, or has no WhatsApp account.
